Job Title: Construction Manager II
Key Job Responsibilities
• On-site lead for the deployment of medium/large Distributed Antenna Systems installation projects including site/client communications, subcontractor management, materials logistics, construction schedules and allocation of internal resources
• Participate in creation of the execution plan for the project
• Meet with clients and perform preconstruction site visit of buildings, campuses, subterranean levels, and other areas where RF signals may need to be enhanced, provide design change suggestions
• Collect site details on med/large projects for use to adjust Budgetary Designs and BOM to accurate details for construction and deployment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot & resolve basic installation and hardware problems
• Enforce Quality Control to ensure installation meets required standards
• Maintain a current and accurate status of all construction activities and be able to communicate the status through reports, e-mails, meetings, conference calls
• Report to Client, Project Manager with Project Schedules and Construction Progress Updates
• Enforce accuracy of the Project Scope of Work
• Manage client/site and subcontractor relationships and schedules
• Manage the development of accurate Project Closing Package, Construction Reports and Testing reports
Required Skills
• Ability to travel within the region up to 75% of the time
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience installing & managing DAS or similar installations (Coax, Category Cable, Fiber Optics)
• Flexible individual with the ability to manage stressful situations and adapt to changing environments
• Ability to read blue prints and Visio & iBwave construction drawings
• Previous Site Survey and iBwave experience is a plus
• Experience with multiple DAS platforms and equipment sets
• Customer service is a must; perfect candidates will pride themselves on their professionalism and appearance, should be outgoing & personable
• Experience in leading a team of construction field personnel
• Demonstrated ability to work with Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Outlook and other basic applications
• Understanding of cable pulling procedures and construction related scenarios. Management of low voltage, electrical or communications construction projects
