Problem
Residents with high level corporate connections to one of the largest wireless service providers desired a dedicated in-building network in order to ensure extremely reliable cellular services that were not possible without a distributed antenna system solution. Aesthetic requirements typical of very high-end luxury residences necessitated a very strategic & stealthy approach to antenna placement in the design of the DAS.
Solution
Covering over 475,000 square feet of indoor space, the DAS includes 32 fiber remote hub units and 152 antennas covering 42 below grade and above ground levels. This network design ensures that residents and staff have coverage throughout all the parking garage levels to spaces above the penthouse residences. The DAS was installed and commissioned in 2013 and is owned by a wireless service provider.
