MEDFORD, NJ – September 9, 2019 – Intenna Systems, a leading provider of indoor wireless distributed antenna systems (DAS) and small cell solutions, is now certified to design and deploy Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) LTE solutions. This new wireless service, which operates in 3550-3700MHz spectrum band, delivers the security and reliability of an LTE network with a simplified implementation similar to Wi-Fi. The dynamic spectrum management of the CBRS band will provide an additional frequency band and access to 15 additional LTE channels to support the rapidly growing number of connected devices reducing traffic on congested bands.
Intenna Systems secured the ability to deliver CBRS LTE as a Premier Partner of CommScope, which incorporated Ruckus Wireless’ CBRS technology into its ERA platform following its acquisition of ARRIS (Ruckus Wireless’ parent company) last year. Trials of the new technology are underway, and the FCC is expected to approve Initial Commercial Deployments (ICD) in the CBRS band in Fall of 2019.
“We are eager to design, deploy and maintain CBRS LTE solutions as part of our comprehensive line up of indoor wireless solutions,” says Christopher Lange, President and CEO of Intenna Systems. “Our expanded portfolio allows us to provide building owners and property managers with ubiquitous cellular coverage and mission critical connectivity by utilizing Ruckus Wireless CBRS Access Points in conjunction with CommScope’s ERA platform. Not only will the new technology facilitate decongestion of over utilized bands, it’s cloud-based support services facilitate rapid deployment for a wide variety of use cases that are applicable in the enterprise today.”
