Field Technician I

Key Job Responsibilities

•Assist Crew Foreman to ensure quality service to clients•Install/De-install wireless systems, connectors, antenna and accessories; and perform maintenance on wireless equipment

•Work effectively with other crew members•Handle transportation of equipment

•Perform other related duties as required and assigned

•Help to run new cabling in new or existing buildings.

•Terminate Cat5, Cat6,1/2 “ coax and various other cabling disciplines

•Test and troubleshoot all cabling•Install telecom style floor mount/wall mount racking equipment

•Install field prep such as cable supports, rooftop antenna supports, plywood, etc.

•Install in-building equipment grounding systems.

Experience

•This is an entry level position with nominal experience and /or training as a telecom or electrical installer

Required Skills

•Ability to clear criminal background checks, drug screen and driver’s license check required

•Ability to work from ladders, lifts and rooftops is required

•Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 75lbs required•Ability to crouch, kneel, twist, reach, grasp and climb with both hands and legs required•Availability to work evening hours required

•Ability to travel up to 75%

•Willingness to take on and learn new tasks required•Experience of wireless telecommunications preferred

•Knowledge of Microsoft preferred
